The country's first ranked female player, Low Wee Wern fulfilled the prediction when she won the 36th edition of the National Squash Championship which took place at the Nicol David Arena, Bukit Jalil today.
The victory came after Wee Wern, 32, had to compete in five sets before winning 3-2 over the country's young star, S. Sivasangari, 21, with results 3-11, 11-7, 11-6, 3-11, 11-9.
It saw the player from Georgetown, Penang successfully defend his title thus becoming the fourth national championship in his career after winning it in 2012, 2014 and 2019.
